Greeting
For the past thirteen years, I have been an alliance Pastor working in NE Edmonton at the Crosspoint Church. Recently, Beulah announced my joining the team as campus pastor, and the imminent launch of our new Mill Woods Campus in the historical Millbourne building in the fall of 2026. You can watch that HERE.
We believe that as a church, we have been called to Awaken the greater Edmonton area to King Jesus, waking the sleepy, lost, and the least from the dead into new spiritual life. Mill Woods is a place primed and ready for this awakening, with the greatest diversity and a huge population of unreached people groups open to faith and searching for God.
So, in the next twelve months, we will be building our core and launch teams for this new Beulah Campus. Preparing a healthy community that is ready to live on mission and reach the lost and the least in the southeast. But we cannot do it without passionate Jesus followers who have personally heard the Lord and will obediently respond to His invitation into this new kingdom venture in Mill Woods.
Here are two ways you can help:
- Would you consider praying for Mill Woods? Pray for the people God is preparing for this new work, and that we would see lost people come to know Jesus for the first time.

AWAKEN MILL WOODS
Register for our first Connect Event on October 23rd.
He will lift up a banner for the nations
and gather the dispersed of Israel;
he will collect the scattered of Judah
from the four corners of the earth.

We walked out my friends back door and up a grassy berm along the Whitemud. The highway was like a rushing river with thousands of people passing by everyday. Neighbours walked their dogs down a narrow path. From the high ground we walked, talked and looked to the south. Mill Woods, a city within a city. A hundred thousand people and forty-two language groups. Single family homes lined the parameter, with affordable housing the further you moved into the Millbourne Center. The middle of Mill Woods is alive with activity. From the local grocery store, grade school, Mosque and Gurdwara. Newcomers from around the world live, worship, work, learn and play.
We headed south and prayed. As we went, there was an apple tree. It’s branches hung low, heavy with fruit. Many of the apples dotted the grass below. It was clear that this tree was ready for the picking. The Spirit stirred within me, in the same way, Mill Woods continues and is increasingly ready for the Gospel.
A hundred years ago passionate followers of Jesus packed up their lives and crossed oceans to reach the nations. Today, many people from the nations have immigrated to North America. They are right here in our backyard, our neighbors and co-workers. These people come from groups and places where they rarely hear the name of Jesus. They almost never hear the Gospel.
In Mill Woods, the nations are on our doorstep. Let’s ask ourselves some guiding questions. How will they call on Him who they have not believed? How will they know what they have not heard? And how will they hear if we do not tell them?
Here is what we know do know: Jesus sought out and sat with lost people. He entered there towns, their houses and their worlds. Jesus came to seek and save the lost. The marginalized and searching. The disillusioned and poor. The ones who had messed up and those who were desperate for hope, peace, purpose and meaning.
A hundred years ago, Beulah Alliance Church has been focused on reaching people far from God. Today, in this new expression, that continues to be true. I believe that God has prepared Mill Woods to hear the good news of Jesus. He has organized the time, place and a people for this work. And he has laid the groundwork. softened hearts and prepared Mill Woods to be Awakened to King Jesus and new life.
I believe God is calling us to the lost and the least in southeast Edmonton. We are waking up to Jesus, being renewed and revived to new life. Now, we are praying and preparing for what God is doing next in Mill Woods.
My simple invitation to you, come and see. Praying in Community
We met on Thursday night, October 23rd, at the historic Millbourne building for our very first Beulah Mill Woods Connect Event! It was so great to meet you, eat together, share more about the new campus launch and pray for revival in our lives!

Four Months Later
In the middle of July, we gathered at the historical Millbourne building for prayer and worship. My wife, Dominique, and I snuck in the back. We were between two ministries. The last decade of our lives, and what was next. God had called us in a clear and powerful way. We said, “Yes! Here was are – send us!” It was that night in the Millbourne building as we worshipped, prayed and encountered God together that we knew God was doing big things in the southeast.
Four months later, God has already opened doors to reach, serve and share the Gospel in the neighbourhood. Our core team is growing all the time, and God is bringing people who have a passion and fire for Mill Woods to our community. It is such an adventure with God! We believe that what has began like other great moves of God’s Spirit, started with a spark, is now a growing number of embers, but will soon catch fire and burn for God’s glory in the southeast.
Now, here is an invitation to be a part of what God is doing in Mill Woods.

Hello Friends! It was so sweet to be with you in God’s presence on Saturday night as we worshiped the King and contended for Mill Woods. As we sang to the Lord, blessed His name, and contend for Mill Woods – I sensed that the Lord was drawing us deeper. Deeper into prayer. Deeper into a relationship with Him. Deeper in our surrender. God has gone ahead of us in the southeast, and He is calling people who are all-in to reach Mill Woods.
Is God drawing you to go #ALLIN for Mill Woods? Is the Lord calling you to join our team? Maybe you will consider joining us on-mission for a commitment of one year or more. Maybe the Lord is leading you to make Beulah Mill Woods your home. If that’s you, let us know. We are aiming for 100+ #ALLIN followers of Jesus on our lead and volunteer teams – and we need you. Loving Our Neighbours
On Saturday, 40+ people from our Beulah family and friends gathered to learn more about Islam, how to engage in meaningful relationships with Muslims and love them well. The hunger to learn was palpable. Students were digging in, asking questions, and thinking critically. You could almost “hear” people’s presuppositions being challenged, and the worldviews being shaped and refined. Most of all, we sensed a passion for loving our muslim neighbours being ignited in us!
I want to take this chance to share three things with you:

Awaken Nights – Worship and Prayer Event – March 28th
Part of the Beulah Mill Woods Core Team at the last Core Team Pursuit gatherings.
Training. Pursuit. Growth. Engagement.
God has been opening doors, making connections, and the BMW Core Team is picking up the pace as we follow Jesus and look to the launch of the new campus in 8 months. In the last 6 months, we have found ways to serve our neighbours, do outreach, kick off our Connect events, form a worship team, launch worship and prayer gatherings, and build community across campuses and more. If I could describe this season in four words, it would be Training. Pursuit. Growth. Engagement.
Training
As a community, we have pursued and hosted training that would prepare us for ministry in the southeast. Including an inspiring Understanding Islam Seminar at the Mill Woods campus, a Worship Team training weekend at West Campus, Core Team gatherings, mentorship and leadership development. We look forward to holding more of these trainings, including an evangelism and understanding Sikhism Seminar and Field Trip. Stay tuned for those!
Pursuit
As a community, we are passionate about pursuing God together by gathering, growing, giving and going. Pursuit is the posture of every outreach, walk, service opportunity, connect event, worship and prayer gathering. As a core team, we gather together to pray, discern, study the Word, know God better and respond in obedience. God is doing and saying some really cool things in our midst.
Growth
We have seen our teams grow significantly. Our interest list has surpassed 200 people. Our core team includes 40 adults and their kids, and our volunteer team grow past 30 adults. Still, many other people in our church family are considering committing one year to the Mill Woods to see it launch well. Is God inviting you to be a part of what He is doin gin the southeast? A successful launch of a new campus and the establishment of a long-term Gospel witness rely on the obedience of devoted Jesus followers. Men and women of faith who will give their time and serve. Let us know if you want to join one of our teams!
Engagement
We have found a great opportunity to share the Gospel with people in the North Millbourne and greater Mill Woods area through three avenues with the approach of prayer and discipleship. First, through Welcome: being generous and hospitable to our neighbours and newcomers to Canada. Second, through acts of Service: fulfilling felt and material needs. Third and finally, through family: by caring for the family, across every generation, and around tables and food. We have established significant connections with the Edmonton Food Bank, Malcom Tweedle Elementary School, Youth Rise and the Mill Woods Friendship Centre ESL School that are in the early stages of potential long-term partnerships – providing amazing opportunities to build relationships and tell people about Jesus. We have been providing clothing, funding breakfast programs, serving teachers, hosting meals, delivering hampers and connecting with community agencies and leaders.
The future is bright. The harvest is ready. Pray that the Lord will send workers. Is that you? The BMW Team Serving at Youth Rise
When Youth Rise, Communities Rise
Hey Beulah Family and Friends,
This past week, our launch team had the privilege of serving a meal to about 70 people through Youth Rise. In addition to that evening meal, we were also able to provide food to support all of their drop-in programs for the week.
For those who may not be familiar:
Youth Rise is a registered non-profit charity in Edmonton that walks alongside youth from vulnerable communities, helping them reach their full potential. They provide free, safe, and supportive environments for young people (typically ages 12–18), offering:
Drop-in programs with meals and community
Mentorship and relational support
Tutoring and practical help
Encouragement and spiritual enrichment
Their heart is simple and powerful: when vulnerable youth rise, families and communities rise with them. We have the pleasure to call them tenants at the Millbourne facility and cherished partners at Beulah Mill Woods.
But it wasn’t just about the meal—it was about presence. Welcome. Conversations. Prayer. Listening. Encouragement. And outstanding hospitality and generosity! This is the kind of church we’re praying to become: rooted in Jesus and woven into the fabric of our neighbourhood.
Thank you for praying, giving, showing up, and cheering this on. What God is doing in the southeast is bigger than an event—it’s a movement of faithful, ordinary people saying yes.

Community Outreach | March 21st
Join us at the Beulah Mill Woods on Saturday, March 21st, at 1 pm. We will break out into four evangelism groups based on your comfort level, personality and gifting:
- Door-to-door group, handing out “Here to Help” campus launch brochures and event invites.
- Prayer walk group. Imagining the Gospel at work in North Millbourne with God.
- Prayer request group. Praying for community members.
- Gospel sharing team. Talking to community members about Jesus in strategic public places.
Registration is not required, but it is encouraged.
Awaken Night – Prayer and Worship Event | March 28th
Join us at Beulah Mill Woods (2101 Millbourne Rd West) on March 28th at 7 pm for a night of Worship and Prayer. Led by the BMW Worship team and core leadership, we will pursue God, encounter His presence, hear the BMW Vision and pray for Mill Woods. We will conclude the evening with fellowship and refreshments. We would love to see you and a friend there! Registration is not required, but it is encouraged.
